Some Websites That I've Built
Each website I build is custom designed and developed to fit the client's specific needs, whether that's a WordPress site, a Shopify store, or something more complex. Good web design is more than how something looks. It's about load speed, mobile experience, clear navigation, and making sure the right people can find you.
About the Client
The Spotted Prawn is a food truck on the water in downtown Juneau, parked right next to the Griz Bar. James Beard-nominated chef Ian Driscoll teamed up with his friend and chef Seth Pelletier in 2025 to put together a menu that blends Alaska's bounty with the coastal flavors of Maine. Think crab rolls, smoked sablefish dip, bright seasonal salads, and a really long burger.
The Problem
The Spotted Prawn wanted to make full use of their online menu and payment system, with a website that's easy to use for any age demographic.
What I Built
They were already using Square as their point of sale system, so it made sense to enable the website option that was already available. You don't get a lot of customization within the Square online editor, but I made the most out of it by matching the template with their brand.
The Result
The Spotted Prawn now has a web presence that matches the quality of the food. I also helped them spruce up their existing logo, designed some printed materials like their menu, QR code placards, and an 80's metal / punk rock inspired t-shirt, "Sea You in Shell."
About the Client
Fairweather Woodworks creates heirloom objects rooted in Alaska, using locally sourced and carefully curated hardwoods, for people who value permanence, restraint, and place.
The Problem
Fairweather Woodworks was relying on Etsy and social media to reach customers, which limits brand ownership, customer relationships, and long-term growth. They were ready to build something of their own. And while site builders like Squarespace and Shopify seem approachable, there's real complexity under the hood that not everyone has the time or patience to deal with.
What I Built
I designed and developed a custom Shopify store for Fairweather Woodworks, writing custom CSS and building out custom Liquid sections to get the site looking and functioning exactly the way they needed. The result is a shopping experience that reflects the craftsmanship behind every product. I also tackled their shipping setup, which is its own challenge when you're based in Alaska and sending out items up to 20 lbs with custom packaging. SEO best practices were baked in from the start to help new customers find them online.
The Result
Fairweather Woodworks now has a professional, fully independent online store that they own and control. No longer dependent on Etsy's fees and limitations or the unpredictability of social media algorithms, they have a real foundation to grow on their own terms.
About the Client
Kim Sunée is a best-selling author. She has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Ladies’ Homes Journal, People, ELLE, and Glamour.
The Problem
Kim's previous site was outdated, hard to update, and didn't reflect the depth of her work or her brand. It wasn't mobile-friendly and failed to showcase her books, recipes, and poetry in a way that matched her profile as a nationally recognized author.
What I Built
I designed and developed a custom WordPress website built around Kim's extensive content, including a full recipe library with professional photography, a poetry section, and a dedicated books showcase. The project also included a custom typeface logo to reflect her personal brand. The site was built with a tailored dashboard so Kim can fully manage her recipes and poetry herself, with no technical knowledge required.
The Result
Kim now has a professional online presence that truly reflects the breadth of her work. Her books, recipes, and poetry are all showcased in one place, the site works seamlessly on mobile, and she has control to update her content whenever she needs to.
About the Client
MRV Architects is one of the oldest and most respected architecture firms in Alaska. Their award-winning portfolio attests to the firm’s successes in a wide array of project types.
The Problem
Their existing site was outdated, not mobile-friendly, and difficult to update. Adding new projects or staff changes required outside help every time.
What I Built
I designed and developed a custom WordPress website with a tailored dashboard that makes it easy for the MRV team to manage their own content. Adding a new project or updating a staff member takes minutes, with no technical knowledge required. The site was also built with page speed and mobile experience as a priority from the start.
The Result
MRV now has full control over their own website and keeps it updated regularly. The site loads fast, works well on mobile, and gives them a professional online presence that reflects the quality of their work.

The process is always the same: listen, design, build, launch. Here are some more projects that followed that path.
